Carvoeiro is a bright, lively sea-side resort during the summer season with a rich selection of bars, restaurants and night-spots catering to a variety of tastes. There is plenty of live music on offer during the season at venues such as the Roundup Saloon (Country and Western), The Jailhouse (Blues and Rock - It is the oldest live music venue in the Algarve, and has been host to many famous musicians since the 1960's) and Manuel’s Bar (Executive Brazilian Jazz) every Monday night throughout the year. |

The beach is located in the centre of the town that more or less spreads itself in a semicircle around it. Though it can become a little crowded at the height of summer, there are a number of beautiful secluded coves and beaches in the immediate vicinity, some of which are only accessible by boat – boat trips along the coast are scheduled several times a day during the summer months. |
